Tamar Government Headquarters is home to Hong Kong's Legislative Council and Central Government Offices of the Hong Kong Government. Adjacent to the island's financial heart at the Central harbourfront, the word Tamar is often used as a metonymy for the Government of Hong Kong.
Challenge
The Tamar Headquarter is accommodating more than 10 different government departments and different security requirements are needed to fulfill each department’s need. Therefore, master keying schedule were requested. The AAHK team spent a lot of time, meetings and visits to understand the needs for individual sectors and come up with comprehensive solution for the whole building.
Solution
Apart from the numerous meetings and revisions on architectural drawings, ASSA ABLOY Hong Kong has to ensure the production lead time has to catch up with the project schedule. It is not easy because this project required a large quantity of the offered products. ASSA ABLOY successfully managed to delivery all products on schedule without affecting other partners' timeline.
