Red Cross Headquarters, Hong Kong
Not only does the headquarters represent a milestone of the HKRC but also symbolizes accomplishment of the historical mission of the old headquarters in Admiralty. Under a non-in-situ land exchange arrangement of the government, the HKRC headquarters was relocated to its new premise in West Kowloon. With the generous support of different parties in society, a Hong Kong$400 million donation was collected for the redevelopment project.
Challenge
The Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) has been serving in Hong Kong since 1950 by various area office. In 2015/16, the official opening of the headquarters starts a new chapter of the HKRC. Situated in West Kowloon, the 11-storey building is more than an office. Based on the concept of an all-round and comprehensive humanitarian platform, the HKRC headquarters adopted a simplistic and pragmatic style. The building offers diversified services and facilities so providers have to offer a wide product range which serves different security levels to cater this project.
Solution

Not to mention the blood bank, rooms with expensive medical devices and dispensary with huge medicine stock & supplies, and therefore(HKRC) / the architect also requested for high security solutions.
