In a bid to enhance patient care and streamline operations, Opening Solutions Hong Kong has partnered with the Hospital Authority to introduce state-of-the-art key management solutions in government hospitals across Hong Kong.

As the overseeing body for all government healthcare facilities, the Hospital Authority plays a pivotal role in shaping healthcare policies and ensuring smooth operations. Given its mandate to manage public healthcare facilities and implement governmental medical directives, there's a critical need for advanced key management solutions to ensure secure access to medicines and equipment, thus improving overall operational efficiency.

Opening Solutions Hong Kong offers innovative Traka's key management cabinet and system to these hospitals, seamlessly integrated into hospital operations. " A key management system has become increasingly important in hospitals because of the high safety and security requirements of The Hospital Authority. The advanced automation technology of Traka allows hospital employees to control access and keep an audit trail of who accessed controlled medicines and other essential equipment.” Said Tiffany Poon, Sales Director at PEU Professional End User & Electronic Security, “Besides, ensuring quick, safe, and authorized access to medicines and equipment, it assists nurses, pharmacists, and other staff in maintaining care quality.”

With plans to deploy 25 Traka cabinets across multiple hospitals, this initiative heralds a new era of efficiency, resource management, and patient-centric care in Hong Kong's healthcare landscape. This strategic collaboration not only underscores a commitment to modernizing healthcare infrastructure but also aims to extend these indispensable services to all healthcare facilities throughout Hong Kong in the foreseeable future.

“It is with pleasure that we announce that more hospitals in Hong Kong have adopted Traka's key management system. It is expected that the Hong Kong Hospital Authority will continue to build new buildings and hospitals until 2026, which will increase the need for key management. We are looking into the feasibility of collaborating with more hospitals in Hong Kong, " said Irene Yip, Director & General Manager, Hong Kong, Macau & Taiwan.
