ICAC Headquarter North Point, Hong Kong
The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is independent of the Hong Kong Civil Service, to clean up endemic corruption in the many departments of the Hong Kong Government through law enforcement, prevention and community education.
Challenge
ICAC does not have a Headquarters before the Java Road building and its Administration Branch and three departments, namely, the Operations Department, Corruption Prevention Department and Community Relations Department, were scattered in different buildings. Approved by the government in 2003, the new building includes training school, indoor shooting range and a multi-purpose theatre.
Solution
The 27-storey purpose-built headquarters cover the ICAC offices and training facilities to cater the Commission's existing and projected demands. Due to the unique function and requirement of this building, ASSA ABLOY Hong Kong provided Yale ANSI Standard Mechanical Product Package, Abloy DislockPro Cylinder, Electronic Products from Securitron (Electromagnetic Shear Lock), and Trimec (Electric Dropbolt).
