Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Stockroom Receiving Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and recording shipments of raw materials, products, and supplies. The Stockroom Receiving Clerk will ensure that all incoming goods are accurately documented and stored in the appropriate locations within the stockroom to ensure inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quantity, and quality.
- Verify the contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Record and update inventory levels in the JD Edwards system
- Organize and store received items in designated stockroom locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom environment.
- Work with purchasing as needed regarding discrepancies or issues with shipments.
- Assist with periodic inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and supplies.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Previous experience with inventory control techniques in a stockroom or warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate forklift and other powered lifts
- Proficiency in using inventory management software (JD Edwards preferred) and basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
