Logistics Coordinator Africa
Purpose of the role:
Responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of import and export activities, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and maintaining efficient and cost-effective logistics operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of global trade laws, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external partners. The Logistics Coordinator will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain processes, minimizing delays, and reducing costs for Assa Abloy Africa.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all import and export activities.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
- Review shipping documents.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
- Monitor and expedite shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Resolve any issues that arise during the shipping process.
- Maintain accurate records of all import and export activities.
- Stay up to date with changes in trade regulations.
- Optimize supply chain processes to minimize delays and reduce costs.
- Communicate effectively with various departments and external partners.
- Match actual billing against the rate card.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to import and export activities.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve logistics efficiency.
- Coordinate shipping documents sharing with finance for payments
- Manage inbound plans and coordinate with Receiving staff.
- Conduct regular audits of import and export processes.
- Timely communicate any shipping delays to all stakeholders
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Professional Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or a related field

Required: Minimum of 3 years of experience in import/export coordination role
